Earl Simmons, otherwise known as DMX, was an American rapper, songwriter, and actor. DMX was an incredible lyricist and performer, incorporating his own phenomenally unique style and flavor into his music. In my opinion after watching interview after interview of him, he seems to be one of the most down to earth and genuine people in the music industry. He met people where they were at. He was vocal about his highs and lows and was confident in his faith that there was a reason that he was wherever he was. DMX was a shining light and will be missed.
