I started my journey as an artist having no clue where I wanted to go with it. I took one class in college and the professor really encouragedus to continue trying new mediums and styles even if we found one that we really loved. So after my first year or so of primarily working in charcoal,

I decided to give pen a try. I knew my own capabilities at the time and know full realism wouldn't be an option, so I did a little research and found Scribblism. These drawings have constant pen movement and

yet still have the illusion of detail. Once I got started, I was hooked for

a very long time, and this is actually how I first started to sell commissions! I was dead broke living in Honolulu and would tell

people "I'll draw you a turtle if you pay for my dinner" or something along those lines haha! Without this style and that time in my life,

I would've never dreamed that I could make a living off of art.

These drawings are the building blocks of my career so I look very fondly towards them and I hope you dig them too!
